I saw a video onlilne on how to use the ARC996.is there something similar for the ARC500? Sorry for asking such amateur questions, but thank you again to the knowledgable people on here who take their time to assist people like me. Like I said, I am completely new this whole software thing, and I feel completely lost on how to program this thing with the software. For over 20 years Butel software has been the world wide leader in ARC scanner software. I hope I am not making this too confusing. Not only do the frequencies paste but the "Input Frequency" also pastes itself to the next object line below the actual frequency object line. software and it will apply to any scanner which uses ARC 500 software. I highlight and copy the frequencies I am looking for and go back to ARC500 and click "Paste Frequencies". The SDS100 updated new technology software radio works flawlessly out of the box. I am using the RR Database for the frequencies. I thought I figured out how to program the Conventional Objects but I think I am doing something wrong. How to I use the ARC500 program my scanner with the Talkgroups, Limit Search, Service Search, Spectrum Sweeper, and Truck Systems? Conventional is what I guess I am used to, but what are all these other things.Talkgroup ID's.Limit Search.Service Search.Spectrum Sweeper.Truck Systems. I am completely lost now with the terminology and all of the different types monitoring I am capable of doing with the Pro-106. Back then all I had to do was enter frequencies manually. The scanner I had prior to the 106 was the Pro-70. I just bought the Pro-106 and downloaded the ARC500 software. I am completely new to this whole software programming stuff.
